Set up POP3 email on: iPhone/iPad

Please make sure you have all of your mail details before continuing

Please note: we provide these details as a courtesy to customers on how to configure this email application. We do not, however, provide support on how to use the software or the OS platform you are using.
For assistance on how to use this software or any software outside of the email application, please contact the respective software manufacturers, or visit their relevant online support pages.

Once you have your mail details, proceed to the following steps:

  1. Press the Settings Icon on the home screen of your iPhone/iPad.
  2. Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  3. Under the Accounts section select “Add Account…”.
  4. On the bottom of the Add Account page select Other.
  5. Under the Mail heading, select Add Mail Account.
  6. On the New Account screen, complete the following details.
    Your Name: The name you wish displayed when people receive your emails
    Email: 
    The email address you are sending email from.
    Password: 
    The password used for this email account.
    Description :
     Any text description (this will not affect your email configuration.
  7. Press “Next” in the top right hand corner.
    The device may attempt to automatically retrieve the server settings. If it fails, continue following the steps below to configure your iPhone/iPad manually.
  8. Select POP from the options on the top of the page.
  9. Scroll down the screen and complete the corresponding information.
    Incoming Mail Server
    Host Name: mail.digitaldevelopments.com.au
    Username: Your full email address, e.g. your-name@your-domain.com.au
    Password: The password used for this email account.

    Outgoing
     Mail Server
    Host Name: 
    Your Internet Service Provider’s (ISP) outgoing mail server (as linked to above).
    Username: 
    Your full email address, e.g. your-name@your-domain.com.au
    Password: 
    The password used for this email account.
  10. Scroll back to the top of the screen and press “Save”.
    Your device will now attempt to verify all the settings you’ve entered. You’ll need to wait for it to do this.
    Note: 
    You may be given a warning that your device cannot connect via SSL or that it cannot be verified.
    If this warning comes up, simply press continue.
  11. The configuration is now completed. The iPhone and iPad is known to automatically sey some default settings which may cause some problems. The steps below will attempt to ensure that the settings on your device are set correctly.
Modify the Email Settings on your iPhone/iPad
  1. Press the Settings Icon on the home screen of your iPhone/iPad.
  2. Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  3. Select the email account you just created in the Accounts section.
  4. Scroll down to the Outgoing Mail Server section and press SMTP.
  5. Modify the following information if not already completed:
    SSL:
     Off 
    Authentication:  
    Password
    Server Port
    : 25
  6. Press Done.
  7. To modify your incoming mail server settings, go back to the mail email account page and press Advanced rather than SMTP.
  8. Modify the following information if not already completed:
    SSL: Off 
    Authentication:  
    Password
    Server Port
    : 110
    OR
    SSL: 
    On
    Authentication:  
    Password
    Server Port
    995
  9. You may also allow your device to delete emails off of the server when it downloads them or set them to delete after a set period of time.
