Set up POP3 email in: Windows Live Mail
Please make sure you have all of your mail details before continuing
Please note: we provide these details as a courtesy to customers on how to configure this email application. We do not, however, provide support on how to use the software or the OS platform you are using.
For assistance on how to use this software or any software outside of the email application, please contact the respective software manufacturers, or visit their relevant online support pages.
Once you have your mail details, proceed to the following steps:
- In the Ribbon Toolbar, select the Accounts Tab
- Click on Email on the left hand side of the Accounts Ribbon. A box will pop up.
- Fill out the following details:
Email Address: The email address you are sending email from.
Password: The password used for this email account.
Check the box that says Remember this password
Display name for your sent messages: This is the name that appears when people are receiving your emails.
Check the box that says Manually configure server settings
- Click “Next”
- Under the heading Incoming Server Information, fill out the following fields:
From the Server Type drop down select POP
Server Address: mail.digitaldevelopments.com.au
Set the port as:
With SSL: 995
Without SSL: 110
Users can choose whether to use SSL or not, we support both on our servers.
From the Authenticate using drop down, select Clear Text
Logon user name: Type in your full email address
- Under the heading Outgoing server information fill out the following fields:
Server Address: Your Internet Service Provider’s (ISP) outgoing mail server (as linked to above).
Leave the port as 25
Leave Unchecked: “Requires a secure connection (SSL)”
Check the box: “Requires authentication”
- Click “Next”
- The pop up window will now display the message “Your email account was added”
If you would like to add another email account, select Add another email account and follow steps 3 through 7 again.
- Click “Finish”
