Set up POP3 email in: Outlook 2000

Please make sure you have all of your mail details before continuing

Please note: we provide these details as a courtesy to customers on how to configure this email application. We do not, however, provide support on how to use the software or the OS platform you are using.
For assistance on how to use this software or any software outside of the email application, please contact the respective software manufacturers, or visit their relevant online support pages.

Once you have your mail details, proceed to the following steps:

    1. From the menu bar, select Tools
    2. Select Accounts from the drop down menu.
    3. Click “Add” and select Mail…
    4. Type the Display name for the email account. This can be anything, your name, the name of the email’s user, etc.
    5. Click “Next”.
    6. Type the Email address, e.g. your-name@your-domain.com.au
    7. Click “Next”.
    8. Complete the following information:
      My incoming mail server is a: Select POP3 from the drop down. 
      Incoming mail server: mail.digitaldevelopments.com.au
      Outgoing mail server: Your Internet Service Provider’s (ISP) outgoing mail server (as linked to above).
    9. Click “Next”.
    10. Complete the following information:
      Account Name: The full email address of the account, e.g. your-name@your-domain.com.au
      Password: The password used for this email account.
      Remember Password: Selected.
      Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA): Unselected.
    11. Click “Next”.
    12. Click “Finish”.
    13. In the Internet Accounts window, select the email account just created (pop.@your-domain.com.au), then click “Properties”.
    14. Select the Servers tab.
    15. Select My server requires authentication.
    16. Select the Advanced tab.
    17. In the Server Port Numbers window:
      With SSL Encryption:
      This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL): Selected.
      Change the Outgoing mail(SMTP) number to 995
      Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL.
    18. or
      Without SSL Encryption
      This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL): Unselected.
      Change the Outgoing mail (SMTP) number to 110.
      Use the following type of encrypted connection: None.
    19. Click “OK”.
    20. Click “Close”.
